Extended over 200 hectares of land, of which 50 cultivated as vineyards, 30 as olive groves and the remainder given over to cereal crops and woodland, Fattoria di San Michele lies astride the Chianti Colli Fiorentini and the Chianti Classico wine zone.
A habitat particularly suited to winemaking, which produces smooth, aromatic red wines of great character.
Paolo Nocentini, the current owner of the Azienda Agricola, has given a new lease of life to the estate's traditional farming activities , renewing and expanding the cultivation and directing it towards organic farming methods.

Chianti Colli Fiorentini D.O.C.G.
Colour: Ruby red with purple tones, well bodied.
Tasting Notes: soft with a lively freshness and a pleasantly good tannin content.
Well balanced wine, at its best consumed within 4/6 years from harvesting.
Grape varieties: Sangiovese 80%, Canaiolo 15% and Colorino(5%.
Food Pairings: This wine can be served with all types of food, from antipasti, as the marked scent of fruit and flowers of the wine render it very suitable for drinking with the typical Tuscan " crostini" of patè or with salami and other cured meats or cheeses, through to first courses, especially those with strong, fatty sauces such as meat sauce, amatriciana or carbonara, and second courses of roasted or fried white meats, or red meat such as roast beef, for which both the tannin and the alcohol in the wine are important.

Chianti Colli Fiorentini Riserva "Sangiovanni" D.O.C.G.
Colour: Rich ruby red, thick and full bodied.
Tasting Notes: Warm, soft, fruity, with tannins pleasantly united with a touch of acidity. A well-balanced wine which is at its best after 4/6 years from harvest 100% Sangiovese.
Food Pairings: This wine is well suited to all meat dishes . Excellent with the typical Florentine T-bone steak and with red or grilled meat , but even better served with casseroles and braised meats, such as "peposo" or " stracotto" , in fact, the aromatic quality of the wine goes well with aromatic cooking sauces, while the alcohol and tannin contrast well with the richness and the strong flavour of meat.

Chianti Classico "Tenuta la Gabbiola" D.O.C.G.
Colour: Ruby red, thick and full bodied.
Tasting Notes: Warm, soft, fruity, with soft but marked tannins together with a pleasant note of tartness and a pleasing slightly bitter finish.
Balanced wine which is at its best from 4/6 years after harvesting.
Grape varieties: Sangiovese 90%, Canaiolo 5%, Colorino 5%
Food Pairings:This wine goes well with important and rich first courses, from pasta with meat sauces to baked lasagna, but it is at its best served with all meat second courses , from grilled meat (the typical Florentine T-boned steak) to roasts. The tannin in the wine contrasts well with the succulence of the meat, while the alcohol cleans the palate of its fats and strong taste of the meat.

Murtas I.G.T. Colli della Toscana Centrale
Colour: Bright ruby red, thick and well bodied.
Tasting Notes: Intense and persistent with ethereal notes of spice, but also fruity with flower and grass notes. On the mouth is warm, soft, smooth, fruity, with elegant tannins, hints of toast towards the end.
A well-balanced wine , at its best after 5/7 years from harvesting.
Grape varieties: Sangiovese 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%, Colorino 20%
Food Pairings: A great wine which gives it best when served with important second courses, from braised boar to hare casserole to roast game, but also excellent with a simple "Fiorentina" T-bone steak, in fact the tannin of the wine contrasts well with the succulence of the meat, while the alcohol cleanses the palate of the fattiness and richness of the meat.
The strong character of this wine is such that it lends itself to unusual food pairings, in fact, we feel that the marked presence of spice tones make it well suited to drinking with spicy foods such as certain Indian dishes or Mexican chili con carne.

Aleatico I.G.T. Colli della Toscana Centrale
Colour: Purplish red with brick tones
Tasting Notes: Strong sweet notes, rose scent, with brandied fruits, blackberries and raspberries
Taste : warm, sweet, but at the same time lively due to its freshness, which gives a clean end note with hints of cherries soaked in spirits.
After dinner wine, excellent with all types of biscuits
Grape varieties: Aleatico
Food Pairings:After dinner wine, excellent with all types of biscuits and dry cakes, excellent with fruit tarts, can also be served with medium flavoured cheese

Vin Santo D.O.C. Colli dell'Etruria Centrale
Colour: Amber yellow with a hint of copper, very thick and full bodied
Tasting Notes: Aroma: with evident sweet notes, dried fruits, dried figs, dates, dried apricots, honey, with ethereal notes of varnish
Taste : warm, smooth, very persistent, starting off sweet with a pleasantly dry finish.
An important meditation wine, suitable for ageing.
Grape varieties: Trebbiano Toscano 80%, San Colombano 20%
Food Pairings:we recommend this wine for drinking in the middle of the afternoon, relaxing and meditating while listening to good music and reading a good book. As regards food accompinaments, rather than the traditional pairing with cantucci biscuits, we recommend herbed cheeses, goat's cheese or mature pecorino (sheep's milk cheese) or even a good patè.
