Villa Trasqua Description

The Villa Trasqua Estate, a gorgeous spot in Tuscany, extends over 120 hectare of land of which 56 are set aside for the production of wine from which we produce Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva and 2 IGT wines (one alicante bouschet-sangiovese blend and one super Tuscan cabernet-sauvignon and sangiovese grapes). Besides this we produce Chianti Classico Grappa and olive oil. The winery has been around since many years but was purchased and re-structured a couple of years back by a Dutch industrial who felt in love the first time he arrived on the Villa Trasqua Estate. A lot of investments have been done by this new owner (who’s passion is wine) and his family, Mr Hans Hulsbergen, outside in the vineyards but also inside in the cellar. This is only the beginning of a very interesting story of a winery, a small paradise hard to reach, in the hart of Tuscany, which will be mentioned a lot in the next coming years.

Rosso Toscano "Tralunga" I.G.T.

Tasting Notes: Colour:brillant deep ruby with violet shades. Perfume:spicy, dark berries with a light touch of chocolate. Taste: soft tannins with well balnces acidity and smooked flavours.
Grape varieties: 95% Sangiovese - 5% Alicante Bouchet.
Food Pairings: We suggest to seve at 15-18° C. Good with easy Italian dishes, pasta and pizza.

Chianti Classico D.O.C.G.

Tasting Notes: Colour: deep ruby red cololur with light garnet shades. Perfume: ample,sharp,fine adn delicate, very fruity. Taste: soft, well structured, full, long and lingering.
Grape varieties: 95% Sangiovese- 5% Colorino and Malvasia Nera.
Food Pairings: Ham, salami, pecorino cheese. Red meat.

Chianti Classico Riserva D.O.C.G.

Tasting Notes: Colour:deep ruby red with carnet shades Perfume: ample,delicate,fruity tones combined with woody and light spicy tones. taste: soft, very well structured,full, fleshy, long and lingering.
Grape varieties: 100% Sangiovese.
Food Pairings: : Brasato, mature cheese.

Rosso Toscano "Trasgaia" I.G.T. "Supertuscan"

Tasting Notes: Colour: very deep ruby red Perfume: ample, fine, dark berries, roasted aromas, smoky and spicy Taste: good structure and balanced body, deep intense aromas of berries, spicy notes and roasted flavours. Elegant and harmonious wine.
Grape varieties: 50% Sangiovese - 50% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Food Pairings: : Florentine steak "bistecca alla fiorentina", red meat.
